On Wednesday night I headed up to Studley Park (about 5km from Melbourne CBD) and shot round 2 of the Hawthorn Cycling Club summer criterium road cycling series. It was a perfect evening for racing, marred only by a serious crash that caused the event to be called off ahead of schedule.
