Ok, so I finally made the switch to using Windows Vista (Ultimate) on my work laptop. It looks awesome and seems to perform pretty well (this laptop scored a 4.2 on the Windows Performance Index thing)....

Recently I wrote a post to start a “thread” about how I’ve been implementing a site monitor application to run on our 42″ plasma TV....
At the moment I’m working on an application that will eventually run on one of our plasma screens to show statistics and the current status of a number of things on our network and infrastructure. We use Cacti and RTG to map this data at the moment but they only produce static data, i.e. web pages with a whole load of graphs embedded in them. To get the latest data you have to manually refresh the pages....
